Hello,

i found your site by doing a search on "Paris riots." I am deeply disturbed by your anti-Muslim stance. While i agree that rioting (violence and destruction of property) is wrong, and will not solve the problems of discrimination and poverty that cause these youth to be so angry, it is not right for you to blame this on Islam. An article on a link you actually posted talked about Muslim leaders in Severn trying to convince the youth of the uselessness and harm of rioting, and how rioting is actually AGAINST the Muslim religion. While i have not studied Islam in depth, i have spent a total of five months of my life in Indonesia, a country with a high Muslim population. Most of the people i lived, worked and deeply bonded with there are Muslim --some of them i count among my best friends ever --some of them i consider family. All of them agree with me that there is only one God, and while we all have different ways of praying, no one religion is better than another. I am not asking you to believe in God, but simply wish you to understand that the so-called Muslims who have perpetrated terrorist and violent actions are regarded with horror, fear and disgust by the vast majority of the world's one billion Muslims, who like most of us, just want to live their lives in peace and well-being with their families, secure homes, good food and maybe a couple of luxuries. And like me, they want that for everyone. I actually remember watching TV with a devout Muslim friend of mine when they were prosecuting one of the suspects for the first bombings in Bali, Indonesia, that occurred in 2002. She was very upset that he was wearing a traditional Muslim shirt and hat; she said it was like he was trying to tell the world he was a good Muslim, while in her view the horrible acts he commited were so awful he could never be considered a real Muslim; Islam is all about submitting to the will of God, and my friend Nia is as certain as any sane person that God's will does not include mass murder. In your article you made a comment about how you could learn why people riot by living a few months in an Islamic society; i actually think it would do you a world of good to spend some time in an Islamic society --or, i'm not sure where you live, but maybe in your community there's a mosque or an Islamic association --it could be very good for you to call there, and ask a Muslim person to tell you a bit about their religion, and how they view the Parisian riots. If we ever want to live in a peaceful world in which violence like these riots does not occur, and i do, all of us human beings need to try and understand each other --to try and overcome the false barriers of religion, race, class, gender etc that we have been taught to believe are more important than our common humanity. And we need to start with ourselves, to try and overcome the prejudices we've been raised to believe in. As for the youth in France who are, as i write this, firebombing cars and buildings and harming the innocent, i agree with you that their actions are wrong. But this is not a Muslim act --if you study world history, riots occur wherever and whenever large numbers of people are desperate, powerless and ignored for long periods of time, until finally they reach a breaking point, and erupt with insane anger. While i do not agree with these violent actions, i do have sympathy for the pain of discriminated-against peoples in France and everywhere. The problems of racism and poverty need to be addressed and resolved, and until they are (which i am not expecting in my lifetime, but hope for some day), we will continue to have riots.

If you care to reply to this email at the address above, i will read your message with interest.

Sincerely,
your sister (as i am sister to all living beings in God's family),

Much of the MSM commentary is the same tiresome economic and victimization mantra most closet marxists recite to blame everything on institutions and absolve individuals from any responsibility. . I am all too well aware of the hyper-leftist social & economic catastrophe that produces 10% unemployment and lavish social handouts that left-wing Democrats want to duplicate in the USA.
The riots have been going on NINE DAYS, unlike the Watts or ‘92 LA riots. Remember when Pompous Buffoon Mitterrand sniffed that LA could not happen in France “BECAUSE OF OUR SOCIAL PROTECTIONS.” Well, these rotten little Muslim druggies are running rampant and tsk-tsks from pursed lips aren’t going to stop them.
So much for the French social model!
Immigration is only one of many reasons France is undergoing these riotsAnd why is the Foreign Ministry spokesman “surprised” at foreign coverage of a public safety situation his government has been unable to control? This pretentious little ball of fluff pursed his lips and pouted that, unlike the obnoxious leaders of his own country ever commenting on French superiority, the foreign press should overlook France’s burning intifada.

And of course, the MSM and the social-engineer commentariat, always eager to bury evidence of the bankruptcy of leftist ideas and policies, is eager to comply.

The normally balanced Economist, for instance, tries to bury the story of the French fire-bombings on page 54-55 in today’s edition.
The perplexed reaction of the incompetent French elitist nitwits normally looking down their noses at the USA, which has bailed out their cowardly citizenry every time foreign armies invade their pays, reminds us of the social and economic decline of that pretentious collection of faineants.
The Economist, which should have known better, had a cover two months ago with “America’s Shame” four days after the dykes broke and public services were caught flatfooted.
Now that a hebdomodaire has passed and the riots are metasthesizing all over France, the EU is paralyzed, and expectant that the contagion of Islamicides will jump the borders of the berceau of infantile leftism.
Katrina was an act of God, but the social catastrophe of France is man-made and Made in France.
The US has its own degenerate slice of Francophile Americans, commonly called Democrats, are as befuddled as their French colleagues in cowardice, since the Demos think talking and throwing money at social and ethnic open sores will heal the wounds.
Anyway, Chief Reptile Chiraq in his Elysee Palace can reign for two more years over this degringolade, as the cowards say, without honor and without the esteem of his countrymen, as his country slides further into decline.
