Toysoft To The Rescue!

0

Remember the post I made a few days ago about Popularity Dialer? Now, UNEASYsilence has a post about a piece of software for Treos that’s similar to Popularity Dialer. Except this piece of software actually runs ON the Treo itself, so you can access it at any time you wish.

Fake Call is a program that is intended to give Treo 600 owners a way to escape impromptu office meetings and unwanted social interactions using the Treo — by simulating incoming phone calls! With your phone in your pocket, press and hold a hard key or setup an appointment in the Contacts application and voila! A call will materialize from anyone you want, your phone will light up like a Christmas tree, your faovirite ringtone will sound and, when you accept your fake call, an active call screen identical to a real one will display and a voice will be heard on the other end of the line! This program is a true escape from any unwanted situation!

A comapny named Toysoft has created the software, Fakecall. Treo 600 users can get this neat little app for only $6.00. Too bad phone manufacturers don’t implement stuff like this in their phones by default. Cellphones in the U.S. suck ass though, they can barely provide basic voice services.

Cellphone To The Rescue!

3

This is a really great idea. It’s called the popularity dialer. What’s it do? Calls your cellphone at a date/time predefined by you. I can think of about a million situations when this would be very useful. Here’s a description from the Popularity Dialer homepage:

Have you ever been in a situation where you wished your cell phone would ring? Maybe you wanted to look extra important or popular on that hot date. Or maybe you just needed an excuse to escape from an unpleasant meeting.

With “The Popularity Dialer”, you can plan ahead. Via a web interface, you can choose to have your phone called at a particular time (or several times). At the elected time, your phone will be dialed and you will hear a prerecorded message that’s one half of a conversation. Thus, you will be prompted to have a fake conversation and will easily fool those around you.

Hopefully I’ll be able to give it a try this weekend. It’s a very unique idea, hopefully they’re taking in enough donations to keep up and running for a while.

I Humped Your Hummer

0

Humping Hummers, sounds fun right? It sure looks fun too! These crazy kids go around town humping hummers, just for fun and amusement. Bet they’ll stop when they get caught humping the wrong persons Hummer. I’d kill em if I owned a Hummer and someone was humping mine.

Still, engaging in Hummer Humping would probably be quite fun on an otherwise boring day.

Since the Hummer was made available commercially for civilian use in the early 1990s, it has increased dramatically in popularity, attracting such diverse constituencies as: soccer moms, drug dealers, and professional athletes and other celebrities. You may well ask, “Where do I fit into this mix?” It’s a fair question to pose, and one that we hope to satisfy here. For those of us who cannot or do not care to own a Hummer, there is still a fun and easy way to be a part of this craze.

The act of humping a Hummer and videotaping it can be interpreted in a variety of ways—it can be seen as a political statement, a piece of performance art, an opportunity to satisfy a roaring libido, or a an amusing activity to engage in as you’re walking down the street. Whatever your motivation, this website serves as a friendly forum to share your experiences humping Hummers. Whether it’s submitting your own Hummer humping videos, sharing a sighting, or passing on a bit of Hummer-related news, we hope you will see this site as a resource and a place to exchange your Hummer encounters.
