But, it’s all koozie. I’m comfortable with the fact most of the world hates us. I’m more than ready to do whatever is necessary to ensure the survival of my countries citizens.

Well, that's exactly what I said : you have the feeling to be in danger. You are ready to ensure the survival of your nation. Please, it is not ONE terrorist action who will erase USA. I think USA overreacted to the terrorism, and I thought until Europa was targeted too that it was understandable; but Spain and Britain responses were pretty differents that USA's one. Even for that last country, look the parliament vote (yesterday) when the PM try to restrain the liberty : USA is definitly no more the liberty country (I'm thinking about the patriot act).

Moreover, you have to understand that BEFORE Muslims will come to make war to Americans, they will fight many years between them. Say, how many western countries have been hited by Al Quaeda (or other spiritual sons) ? USA, Great Britain and Spain (I cannot count Israel, which is another problem). And what about muslims countries ? Maroc, Kenya, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, Jordania (you just wrote about), Egypt, Indonesia, Yemen, Pakistan, and ... Irak have been hit or are regularly hitten by terrorism. My point is that the first war is not WITH Muslims, but BETWEEN Muslims. And USA, instead of supporting the liberal Muslims, has created more and more radicalists among Muslims.

When the world hate you, you prepare to war instead to try to understand "why". It's not about jealousy, since until the last decade of the 20th century, USA was still considered as a great nation. Respected. Look at the world newspaper after 9/11 : even in France, they titled "We all are american". Sympathy, compassion was the feeling of all the free world. But the choices your made, the governement you reelected have been so many injuries in our heart.

USA has been one of the first countries to defend the rule of law, understanding law as the guarantor for the weakest to not be crushed by the stronger. And since 2001, USA has totally forgot his fundations, his history.

That's why the world IS AFRAID of USA. A country who expends more than half of the total military expenses of the world has to be paranoid. Clearly. And when the mightest country becomes paranoid, it's a danger to everyone through the world.

In response to your comment:
It “seems” as though over half the worlds population hate America because they think we’re ignorant, self-obsorbed, and rich.

Well, you know, I live in a country richer (per capita) than USA; and I do not hate America, I hate his government, who forgot the american's values. Who forgot that when you are the government, you have to rule your country, not to play a game where the aim is to gain the most money for yourself.

It’s impossible for you to see this through our eyes. It’s true, a lot of Americans are exactly as you say they are. I am not. There’s nothing we can do to make the world think differently of us. The reason I make the statements I do is because I know there’s nothing we can do to change the worlds perceptions of us. Instead, I worry about MY country and pay attention to those targeting specifically Americans and other Israel supporters.

USA can change the worlds perception. Come back to international cooperation, don't be so arrogant with countries weaker than you, don't behave like all countries you have hated in your history. World doesn't recognize USA since 9/11.

I know your reaction will probably be something to the effect of “you shouldn’t be supporting israel in the first place.” Who the hell has the right to say that?

I do no think israelo-palestinian conflict is the mother of all the conflicts. Moreover, half of New-York is jew, so I understand why USA is supporting Israel. Even I think W. Bush has made many mistakes in that conflict.

My reaction is, again, "come back to international cooperation". Many other countries are affected (or will be affected) by international terrorism, and we need each others. But fighting alone is not a solution.

No need to be sorry Psykotik, I take no offense. I wasn't tryin to get a reaction outta you or anything, I just thought it was pretty damn amusing.

In response to your comment:
It "seems" as though over half the worlds population hate America because they think we're ignorant, self-obsorbed, and rich.

It's impossible for you to see this through our eyes. It's true, a lot of Americans are exactly as you say they are. I am not. There's nothing we can do to make the world think differently of us. The reason I make the statements I do is because I know there's nothing we can do to change the worlds perceptions of us. I know your reaction will probably be something to the effect of "you shouldn't be supporting israel in the first place." Who the hell has the right to say that?

Islam in general is OK. I have no problems with it or any other religion. The problem is that there's so many people of the Islamic faith. So, given the sheer numbers of muslims in the world, it should be pretty obvious there's going to be more radical muslims than there are radical Christians.

I'm well aware that probably less than 1% of Muslims take their religions teachings to extreme levels. The point is that some do and those are the ones trying to murder those who don't acknowledge Mohammed. The radicals interpret Mohammeds teachings literally and usually miss the spirutal point totally, leading them to believe they're the ultimate and supreme beings on this planet and nobody but them has a right to use it.

You're basically telling me I should be "OK" with those who desire to kill my family and friends. I only try to defend myself from those who present the most immediate danger. Sorry to say, but Muslims present that immediate danger right now. If Canadians as a social group or Jews as a religious group desired to Kill Americans I'd make the same arguments against Candians or Jews. I'm pretty damn sure there's no Canadians crossing the boarder now inteding to blow up a hotel filled with civilians.

But, it's all koozie. I'm comfortable with the fact most of the world hates us. I'm more than ready to do whatever is necessary to ensure the survival of my countries citizens. When the islamic radicals decide your countries citizens live too richly, don't come complaining to me.

And give my readers more credit than that, they know what's up too.

Well, I'm sorry, but when you write that french riots are made by Muslims, you reveal a big lack of understanding of what's happening in France (BTW, in Belgium, in Germany, in Portugal too).

Since 9/11, it seems that every American believes that every event through the world is caused by the Muslim terrorisme. French riots are not related to a civilisation clash, but instead to a financial clash.

I didn't call you islamophobic. But I think you don't understand at all what's happening in Europe. In the same way, titling your post "Muslim “Rage Virus”" won't turn you to a "islamophile" for your readers...
