What’s Gangsta?

Beating the hell out of war veterans of course. No, in all seriousness, these three thugs beat the crap out of some war veterans the other day in Seattle. Luckily the whole thing was caught on video. They need help finding the suspects though. The suspects are black.

Racism is apparently very prolific in the blogosphere. If you read the comments on Ace of Spades HQ, you’ll probably see some extremely racist comments. Ace has been deleting them for the most part.

Some rather unwholesome comments have also been showing up at The Jawa Report. Chris over at Conservative Thinking touched on basically all of this too, focusing more on the racism issue. And don’t forget Captain’s Quarters.

I think I know why all these people are saying very demeaning things about blacks and just being dirty biggots in general. They’re jealous. The guys in the video clearly got game and are “gangsta”. This and the fact that they beat some war veterans angers many people that aren’t comfortable with who they are. I’m not defending the suspects, but come on people…grow up.

Maybe people are just so angry because they beat up the war vets. But why don’t they say this stuff when the islamocrazies bombed london? Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, that’s why I suspect they’re jealous. The three suspects, when found, should be put in prison that just happens to house some older war vets. I’m sure they’d be put out of their misery within 48 hours.

Blogs for Bush has a somewhat related story about anti-war protests going on outside the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. What’s worse, is the protestors hold signs that read “Maimed for Lies” while injured soldiers are recovering and dying inside.

Now that’s seriously fucked up. Yah, they have a right to protest. As far as I’m concerned, they shouldn’t be allowed to protest there, of all places. Turns out Wizbang has an update on this story. Conservative Outpost has the goods too.

Pat Robertson and Hugo Chavez

The fact that blogs and the news are covering this freaks me out a little bit. I’m sorta disappointed in the blogosphere for continuing to cover this…I’ll just add to the pile.

I remember having to watch Pat Robertson on The 700 Club when I’d go to the babysitters in the morning. This was when I was really little. Even then I remember not listening to what he had to say. I knew he was just talking to get money for god. I’ve always thought he was pretty much insane. That’s why I can’t figure out why so many people put so much weight in what he said about assisinating Chavez.

Now, there’s no doubt that Chavez is a dangerous guy. Just check out what Danny Carlton (Jack) had to say about him in his commtary today. He’s also got a good post about what Chavez is up to and where all his money goes. Sounds like he likes to play with his military. Can’t say I blame him.

Stones Cry Out have a post entitled “An Embarrassing Retraction by Robertson”. It’s actually pretty funny. Sounds like Jim put a lot of thought into it.

Robertson Activates Christian Sleeper Cells is a very funny satire post over at Right Wing News.

What’s almost even funnier is the fact that a Finnish christian TV station is dropping The 700 Club because of what Robertson said. Way to go guys!

Personally, I think we should assisinate Chavez. Too bad it’s illegal. We should repeal whatever law it is that prevents political assisinations. I think it’s executive order 12333. Well, I take that back. He should be assisinated if he does anything to antagonize us. Forget what he’s done in the past, focus on now and the future. If he can shut up and be a good little dictator/president, then we should leave him alone.

Castro is gonna be a bad influence on him.

UPDATE: Ace of Spades HQ has basically the whole entire thing right. Ace touched on pretty much every aspect of how the U.S. should react. Didn’t the U.S. government play a role in killing Pablo Escobar?

Soldier Life

American Soldier runs an awesome blog. He blogs about his time serving in the U.S. military and about his life after returning home. It’s all very interesting as he has a very unique perspective on a lot of things.

Anyway, he got a book deal. The book, called “Soldier Life: A Day in the Life of an American Soldier”, is available for pre-orders.

I pre-ordered. It’s wicked cheap if you pre-order. Unfortunately I was unable to pre-order immediately as my paypal account was dry. Money finally finished transferring to my account today, so I ordered the book today.

I am very excited for it to arrive. The book is supposed to be out in December of 2005. People who pre-order get the book a couple weeks in advance I think. Head on over to LBF Books if you’re interested in a copy. Congrats A.S.!

Google Talk is Here

Google Talk was announced lastnight. It’s still in beta and requires a gmail username and password to use. IfElse has a pretty decent summary of what Google Talk is exactly:

*They’re using Jabber, an open protocol rather than their own proprietary system.
*They allow and support the use of other IM clients rather than
deliberately blocking other software as Yahoo, AIM and MSN have done.
*It works off your GMail account which doesn’t expire like hotmail and AOL accounts
*Builtin GMail notifier
*Free with no ads

Mark Evans discusses what this means for Skype. Seems like this will bump Skype’s numbers up a ways.

Smash’s World has a good how-to for getting Google Talk working with Gaim. And Development on a Shoestring was talking about this before the official announcment was even made.

Search Engine Roundtable also has some good notes about Google Talk while John Battelle’s Search Blog has a bunch of information. He’s got various reviews from various websites.

Below is a screenshot I just took.

Clarity and Resolve

It’s more than one of my favorite blogs. Both of those attributes are necessary for winnning the war on terror. Those of you that think this isn’t a necessary war, you should read this post by Patrick.

Those are pretty much my exact thoughts, he’s got the ability to present them much more clearly than I can though. I suggest you read.

On a slightly different topic, The Fourth Rail has a good analysis of the draft Iraqi constitution. Basically Islam will play a role, but “no law may contradict democratic standards”. The more I read the draft, the better I feel. I think they’ve done an alright job so far.

Flappy Bird

Certainly since I’ve been in the TTLB Ecosystem, Instapundit has been #1. Even before I put my blog on there, Instapundit was #1.

Michelle Malkin has taken the #1 spot, overtaking Instapundit in number of incoming links. Amazing!

Both are undoubtedly “Higher Beings”. Unfortunately for yours truly, I’m not even a mammal of any sort! But at least I’ve got a spine, the spine of a Flappy Bird. I need to root out some local people to blog with me. I’d like to spend a lot more time writing here, but I just don’t have the time available. Maybe when work slows down this winter I’ll be able to write more. Really though, I’m just happy Michelle and Instapundit are still ahead of Kos. I hope Kos doesn’t reach #1 anytime soon.

Anyway, congrats Michelle!
