So, North Korea finally admitted to having nukes. Big deal. Their reasoning for having them is for “protection” from Bush’s offensive tactics. I think they should be allowed to have them. Who the fuck are we to tell them they can’t? They’re not a democratic country, so fuck it.
I think it’s good of them to keep some for protection. Bush wants N. Korea to get rid of their nukes, if they don’t, he’d like to attack them. If I was N. Korea, there’s no way I’d give up my nukes. I mean, they’re for protection from America essentially. If we don’t antagonize them by pressing them to get rid of their nukes, we’ll all be fine. They wouldn’t have a need for nukes for “protection” if they didn’t see Bush as such a threat. It’s no different than the U.S. building nukes to protect us from the “terrorists”, which I believe more and more is my own government.
OK, finally back at work now. First thing I did when my internet connection came up at the apartment was check Slashdot. Towards the middle of the page I noticed an article about Slackware 10.1 being released.
I’m getting it via rsync right now from carroll.cac.psu.edu. carroll.cac.psu.edu is a really fast slackware mirror, typically very busy. I was suprised to see they have the full slackware-10.1 tree already.
My cable is supposed to be installed today between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. I just got back to the apartment from work. I went in around 7:00 so I could get a few things done before I had to leave. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back there by noon or so.
It was really nice here over the weekend. It was in the upper 50′s Friday and Saturday. Rained a bit yesterday, and snowed about 3 inches lastnight. We’re supposed to get more snow tomorrow. It’s sorta sad to see all the snow go away, and then it’s basically back the next day.
I’ve been wanting to get a real domain name for a while now and leave no-ip.com behind. Yahoo! is selling domain names for $4.95/year. I just need to find a decent registrar that accepts paypal (not cc paypal). I’ve got a couple domain names in mind. Still not sure which one I’m gonna go with for sure. I guess you’ll know when you see this domain name change.
Also, I was sad to see the Eagles lose lastnight in the SuperBowl. They get so close every year but can never seem to come away with it.
