This movie sucked bad. Please don’t waste your money on it. If you’re planning to see it, just give the money to a rabbit or somethin. It’ll be better used by the rabbit.
The noises the ghost/creature thing in the house made were so stupid. Everyone in the theater laughed everytime it made it’s little groaning noise. The movie abruptly came to an end…leaving me with an unfinished feeling.
Now, SAW looks like a good horror flick. I think I might go see that one tonight. But The Grudge was a total waste of time and money and everything else. I was pretty pissed off when I left the theater.
It was funnier than anythign else. Not “haha” funny, but stupid as fuck funny. A lot like Ashlee Simpson dancing around when her song changed on SNL.

This is interesting stuff. It deals with Mediacom (my ISP) and AT&T. Mediacom customers in Illinois and some parts of Iowa haven’t been able to use any sort of P2P application. This hasn’t been the case for me…I’ve been using BitTorrent without any problems.
Supposedly, a tech guy from Mediacom said he heard that the RIAA told AT&T that those certain areas being affected are high in file-sharing traffic. This leads some people to believe that AT&T is blocking P2P traffic per RIAA’s request. I’m not sure about that though. Verizon told the RIAA to screw off when it tried to obtain info on a Verizon customer so they could sue him.
If AT&T is indeed blocking P2P networks, they should stop soon. Probably 85% of the people affected have said they’ll cancel their Mediacom account if the problem isn’t resolved. People get broadband for P2P. There’s a news piece about it here:

And they’re talking about this in the Slyck forums too:

Yesterday, I was told I would be getting a $0.50 raise to $9.50/hr. Cool.
I was thinking lastnight while laying in bed, and I was pretty sure I was already making $9.50/hr. But I wasn’t sure. So, I just pulled my most recent pay stub out of my wallet, and not to my suprise, it was $9.50/hr. I checked an old one at home during lunch too, and it was also $9.50/hr.
So, I was making $9.50/hr, got a $0.50 raise, and am still making $9.50/hr. I dunno how that works. I’m gonna go take this up with Pam and Ernie as soon as they get outta their meeting. If I dun come out at $10.00/hr, I’m lookin for a new job.
I saw an interesting job in the paper the other day. There was no employer listed, and the address was a confidential PO box. I’m gonna send my resume there. It was for a general system admin job in Ames.

This kicks ass. Last week, I saw Halo 2 for download on a few BitTorrent websites. I’m not even gonna download and burn it. Reasons:
1. I have no DVD Burner
2. I don’t have a modchip for my xbox
3. I wanna buy it
I visited one of the sites today (www.elitetorrents.org), and noticed they had removed Halo 2! This is awesome to see! The fact that these people respect the game of Halo enough to not release it is absolutely killer. Instead of offering it for download, they’re telling everyone to go out and buy it.
I should probably pre-order a copy just to be sure I can get it when it comes out. November 9th is coming around quickly! Go Bungie! w00t!

I cleaned up the URL’s on this site some. For example, the permalinks to individual news items are much cleaner…previously, they were in this form:
http://longren.no-ip.org/index.php?option=news&newsid=235
And now, the links are:
http://longren.no-ip.org/news/235
I wonder if this will make a difference to the search engines? I’ve heard many places that making “clean” urls will greatly improve rankings on search engines.
There’s also some new advertisements by google here. I chose the least intrusive ad option. Other than those couple things, I guess that’s about it.

Lately, most of the John Kerry commercials I’ve seen have bragged how Mr. Kerry will protect Americans from “the terrorists”. They all make it sound like Kerry can do what Bush hasn’t been able to do yet.
If either of these men really cared about the country, they would all step down. That’s the only way there’ll be an end to the so called war on terror. We’re the target of terrorism because of our government, who’s in charge, and how it’s run. I don’t think that simply not-supporting Israel will work anymore. A couple years ago, I was convinced all the problems came from our involvement with Israel.
Now, I truly believe the only way to remedy “the terrorist” problem is for every member of the U.S. senate and executive branch to step down. An entirely new form of leadership will have to arise before anything good will come. Now, Americans will still be hated cuz we gots mo money than all you fools…a single, solitary tear drips down my cheek.
