Just watchin the news. They had this totally media-brainwashed woman on there talking about what she wants to hear the presidential candidates speak of.

That was about it. I can’t believe they put such a stupid fuck on T.V. What the hell could that add to anything? I wish I wouldn’t have watched those couple seconds, I feel like I’ve been robbed. All she could think about was security. I could tell she’s one of the people that sat on the couch and watched CNN and Fox News for 9 months after 9/11/01…pathetic and sick.
I turned off my server tonight. There were some pretty threatening looking storms around here earlier this evening, looks like there might be more coming. So, if any of you notice that your ftp account isn’t working, it’s probably because I’ve turned the server off again. Everyone that has an account has my e-mail address, so let me know if you can’t login.
Work sucked today. I’m gon have to start printing labels for the food we ship out. The girl that normally does it is starting school again. When I told Jon this, he freaked out. He thought I should be doing things that would put my talents to use. Jon’s the warehouse manager in Ankeny…I gotta talk with him quite a bit on the telephone. He’s correct in his thinking though, printing labels is the most mind numbing work I’ve ever done…all ya gotta do pretty much is figure out which labels are needed and switch out rolls of labels when needed…very difficult work. ;)
I was watchin Fox News Monday over lunch and they were talking about some state that’s going give children gift certificates for doing well in school. Some of the gift certificates are worth up to $150!
And now Krispy Kreme is jumping in also. They’re offering free doughnuts to children for each “A” on their report card.
What I wouldn’t give to be in school again, gift certificates, Krispy Kreme, it dun get any better than that! Kids these days…
Yesterday was my 21st birthday. Went out lastnight and picked up a 6 pack of Budweiser bottles and Rumple Minze. Rumple Minze is a 100 proof peppermint flavored schnapps. We just drink it straight, but I’ve heard of lots of drink mixes that it’s used in.
I’m not creating any new FTP accounts for the rest of the week. When the current people with FTP acconts are done downloading what they want, I’ll give out a few more. I’ve had to limit the maximum download speed from my FTP to 5kb/sec. Can’t have you people sucking up all my bandwidth. ;)
I also heard a rumor that it’s possible we may hear DJ Pi on di.fm soon. That would be killer! dj GT and his brother, Project C, are coming out with a 4 disc set soon. I’m supposed to be getting it soon so I can help seed it via BitTorrent once it’s available to the public. I’ve seen the tracklist for it and I think it’s gonna be an awesome mix.
I got that 1.8Ghz P4 pc from work yesterday. I got Slackware 10 and Dropline Gnome installed on it lastnight. It’s working pretty well. I’m glad to have my music back, all of it was on an ide hard drive, and I didn’t have any way to read it until I got this PC.
Also, Linux Kernel 2.4.27 has been released. It seems like 2.4.26 was around forever! 2.4.27 took a long time to come out.
