Linux Kernel 2.6.0 was release tonight. I’m compiling it right now. Hopefully I’ll be one of the lucky people to notice a speed increase on the desktop. Supposedly 2.6.0 has made speed improvements all around. I was able to download 2.6.0 from kernel.org at around 550k/sec. That’s cuz we finally got the DS-3 up here in Chicago. It makes working really, really nice. Doing stuff on the internet is sooo much quicker. Going home to my lowly cable connection won’t be so great.

Anyway, hurray for kernel 2.6.0!
