UPDATE: This looks like it’s a joke from gnu.org:

I recieved this piece of spam today at work. I would have deleted it, but a few words caught my eye so I continued reading. It ended up being a pretty entertaining read. Item #5 on their list made me laugh quite hard.

Got my car back

I got my car back yesterday. It’s a shame though cuz now I don’t get to drive the caddie to work anymore. Oh well, it’s kinda nice to have my own car back. I took the face to my cd player out when I left my car over night in Ankeny. I put it in Josh’s car, and forgot to grab it when his car died…so now I’m without a face to my cd player. It was a long drive to work this morning without anything to listen to. Hopefully I’ll get it back from him tonight.

PHP 4.3.3 Released

A new stable version of PHP is available for download. It’s version 4.3.3. I’ve been running 4.3.3 since rc1, and I never noticed any problems with it. This release fixes some security issues and fixes other bugs. I’ll probably install it on the main web server at work sometime today.

Linux Kernel 2.4.22

Linux kernel 2.4.22 has been released. As usual, you can get it from kernel.org or a mirror. It’s been around 3 months since the last stable kernel release. This release probably just fixes a bunch of bugs that were in the last.

Car Dead

My car overheated on my way home from work lastnight. Josh brought me some water, we poured it in, and it just ran right through. All the hoses are on tight and are crack-free. Water was pouring out the bottom of my car, so I figure it’s a crack in the radiator. Paul Ness is on his way to pick my car up in Ankeny right now. Hopefully my step-dad will be able to fix it sometime soon.

Birthday

My birthday was yesterday (the 17th). It was pretty good. Dad and Carol came down to visit. Carol took Kyle’s graduation pictures. Saturday night, we went out to eat at Buca di Beppo. I’d never eaten at one before, and it sounded pretty good. I got way more food than I needed…I’d say I ate about 1/20th of the food I got.

Lastnight, my grandparents visited me at Mom’s house. We ate dinner, had pie, and I opened cards from the Grandparents. The whole weekend was pretty good.
