Apache 2.0.44 released

Apache 2.0.44 has been released. It’s been quite a while since a 2.x release of Apache. From the Apache website:

This release begins a new effort to retain configuration and module-interface stability in the Apache 2.0 series. No changes in configuration or third-party modules are necessary to upgrade from 2.0.42 or later, and we will make every effort to maintain this easy upgrade path in future 2.0 releases.

Another Thermaltake Volcano 7

I recieved my new ThermalTake Volcano 7 heatsink. Now I have two of them in my main box. Hopefully this will help keep cpu temps even lower.

I wanna buy one of these.

HP iPaq H1910.

I really want to get one of these. I’d like to be able to use it for projects in school. I’d like to possible write some software to use with it. I would probably also install Linux on it. Linux and PDA’s go very, very good together.

PHP 5.0.0-dev and my camera

I’ve upgraded from stable PHP-4.3.0 to unstable PHP-5.0.0-dev. So far, everything seems to work just fine. I don’t expect things will stay that forever. I just thought I’d give it a shot for a while. I’ll probably go back to 4.3.0 within the next couple of days.

I also got my new Olympus D-550 camera to work under linux. You can just mount it like any other USB mass storage device. It’s pretty sweet. I like being able to view my images under Linux.

New mysql

MySQL 4.0.8-gamma has been released. As usual, I upgraded to this new version right away. So far, nothing is broken. I suppose that’s always a good sign.
