I got another HP Vectra XW machine working. I thought it had totally crapped out on me a few months ago, but it turns out it was just the video card. So I got another dual PPro 200 running now. All it does is crunch seti@home.
The power has been going off quite a bit here. So, once again, my uptimes aren’t very good. I’ll have to take my machines down again when I move, so I probably won’t get my uptimes very high in the next few weeks.
Also, the extraction of my teeth went pretty well. They gave me laughing gas, I thought it was pretty funny when they put the IV in my, and before I knew it I was zonked out. I woke up in a different room. My mouth is still bleeding pretty good. It’s kind of hard for me to sleep since I’ve bee sleeping most of the day. I suppose I’ll try to go to sleep now.
Tomorrow, Monday July 29, I get my wisdom teeth cut out. Two of them are far enough in they can just be pulled, the other two are impacted and will need to be cut out.
Lucky for me, I won’t be awake for any of it. My appointment is at 8:30 tomorrow morning.
I’m kind of excited to have it done. I’ve never had any kind of anesthesia before. My girlfriend recently had this done and she was really out of it for most of the day. I should come out of it with some pretty powerful pain killers also.
Kristin and I went to a local amusement park today. I’m generally pretty good about riding on spinny rides. That wasn’t the case today.
We went on the “Silly Silo”. It’s a cylinder that spins really fast so you’re held against the wall when the floor gets lowered.
Luckily, I made it until the ride stopped. I really didn’t want to throw up on my own face. As soon as it stopped spinning, I fell on the floor and just started throwing up. There were a bunch of little kids laughing at me. Kristin started gaging and almost threw up also.
PHP version 4.2.2 has been released. This version just fixes a security vulnerability. There’s no new features or anything like that, so upgrading shouldn’t affect how your code runs.
I bought a new scsi hdd. It’s an 18 gigger. I need something a little bigger than 4gb to have my os on. The exact specs on the drive:
